The Brief
The Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) organised a press conference to announce the start of the exciting Khalifa bin Salman Basketball Cup 2017. The conference needed to be simple and straightforward, reflecting the seriousness with which the Association took its aim: to increase public awareness of the competition and promote the great sport of basketball.
Creative/Execution
This highly formal press conference required a simple but elegant setup. Inside the comfortable surroundings, our team installed a big screen on which a five-minute video, produced by Pico and featuring Khalifa bin Salman himself, was shown to the audience to raise the energy within the room.
It was during the press conference, where a small change to the game format was announced. Prizes for the finalists were also declared.
Results
• Attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs Hisham Al Jowder, the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) General Secretary Abdulrahman Askar, and other BBA board members
• Announcement was made to around 200 guests that the cup competition will hereafter be named after His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa
The client was happy with the success of this event, and especially pleased with the remarkable video production that Pico delivered.
